Kathrin Beck is an accomplished actor, voice-over artist, producer and olympic ice dancer.

Kathrin was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. Her passion for storytelling first manifested through dance. She studied ballet and figure skating, and eventually became one of the top ice dancers worldwide. Together with her dance partner and brother Christoff Beck, she rose to a 6-time national champion in ice dance, won the gold medal at the Winter University Games and placed 5th at the Calgary Winter Olympics.

Kathrin studied musical theater at the Conservatory of Vienna and acting with Austrian icons Prof. Susi Nicoletti and Prof. Dany Sigel, trained at BADA (British American Drama Academy) in London with Masterclasses taught by Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons, Fiona Shaw and Steven Berkoff amongst others and at Ivana Chubbuck and Upright Citizens Brigade (UBC) acting studios in Los Angeles, CA.

She landed her first role at Vienna’s prestigious Theater in der Josefstadt - where she was a company member for 8 years. In addition she performed at the internationally acclaimed Theater Festival ‘Wiener Festwochen’ in Vienna and at multiple renowned theaters across Austria.


Kathrin has appeared in TV-series for networks such as STARZ, BBC, PBS, ORF, ZDF, ARD. Multiple feature films and shorts she appeared in premiered and were an Official Selection at film festivals worldwide including winning an award at the Hollywood Horror Film Festival Shriekfest. Among the directors she has worked with are Academy Award winners Morten Tyldem and Stefan Ruzowitzky as well as award winning directors Jon James Smith, Umut Dag or Erhard Riedlsperger.
 

Her work as a voice-over artist includes national commercials, becoming the leading voice of Lidl Austria for over a decade, the station voice for TV shows (ATV), documentaries, radio-plays, and lending her voice to audioguides for the renowned Austrian museums Belvedere, mumok, Kunstforum Wien, Salzburg Museum.
 

Kathrin works in German and English, between Vienna and Los Angeles.

As a producer Kathrin is working with Thorny Devil Productions on their first project together ‘Perpetual Motion of Light’ which is a compelling story of darkness and light one experiences throughout their life journey (IMDb).

She produced and performed in a staged reading of the play ‘The Mentor’ by the celebrated Austrian writer Daniel Kehlmann in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut LA, the Austrian Consulate General LA and the Austrian American Council West (AACW).
